The Deployment Tool enables you to package and distribute your Visual LANSA developed application to customers or end users, internally or externally.
An application package builds an MSI file (version) or an MSP file (patch) file which is installed using the Windows Installer.
The deployment package includes all application objects (not just software objects) including tables and table data if required. Non-LANSA objects can also be included.
Deployment options include:
•Automatic installation from an application serving system
•Web based download initiated by user
•Install from DVD
•Install via Systems Center Configuration Manager
•Deployment to the Cloud
All Visual LANSA Windows applications are supported including Client, Server and LANSA Web.
Deployment Templates support rapid package definition to suit the type of application to be deployed.
The Visual LANSA Deployment Tool is accessed from the Tools ribbon.
