To compile an open component click Compile in the Home ribbon, or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+C.
You can also compile components from the tabs on the left of the IDE using the tab ribbon or the context menu:
The compile status is shown in the Compile tab in the bottom part of the IDE.
